I recently got my hands on some Heavy Intercessors by Games Workshop for Warhammer 40K. I have to admit it, although I find these models expensive, I do like them. One box comes with a squad of 5 guys. I got my squad of five in the Agastus Box Set, along with some other miniatures, but you can buy them on their own too.
Heavy Intercessors in Warhammer 40K
In game, these miniatures have good armor and good range power for Battle Line Troops. They each get 2 strength 5 shots with AP -1. One out of every five can be armed with a Heavy Bolter for even longer range, a better fire rate and extra damage per hit too.
Whenever these soldiers are in range of an objective marker that their force controls, they get a better saving through versus any weapon that causes just one damage.
Are they better than Intercessors or Assault Intercessors? I am not sure, but I do love the look of their heavy armor and their toughness 6 statistic.
Let’s move onto the models.
Heavy Intercessor Sprues for Warhammer 40K
To build the Heavy Intercessors, you get these sprues.
The Agastus Box Set came with some great instructions for building these models. You can choose three different ways to construct the weapons, but that mattered for 9th Edition, not 10th. Now, the weapon choice is cosmetic (aside from the Heavy Bolter).
The Built Heavy Intercessors
I found these models super easy to build and was an enjoyable kit for me. The Final models look really good too.
Currently, I have no Intercessors to compare them to, but I do plan on picking up and building a box in the future. As it is now, these models look great.
Wrapping it up…
Today’s post is a very quick one to show you some Heavy Intercessors that I built, to tell you my thoughts on the models and to show you some pictures of the minis. I bought these in the Agastus box set. That might be harder to find now, but you can also buy them individually.
