In this post, I review the Landsknecht Ogres miniatures by Wargames Atlantic. Personally, I am using the sci-fi version of these miniatures as Ogryn like miniatures in a couple of games. Now, on to the review.

Wargames Atlantic Landsknecht Ogres Review
Like Ogres?? Wargames Atlantic has some awesome Ogres scaled for 28mm that will be perfectly suitable for either Sci-Fi or Fantasy based miniatures games. That’s right, this box covers both genres. Meet the Landsknecht Ogres by Wargames Atlantic [Affiliate].
These miniatures come as 9 per box. Each box is currently priced at $34.95. That’s an amazing value. For miniatures at a value price, they look really good.
You get an even better deal if you buy from Wargames Atlantic [Affiliate] in bulk. Now, let’s take a quick look at the sprues.
Landsknecht Ogres Sprues
In these images of the Sprues, you see options for both Sci-Fi and Fantasy based settings.
Sprue One Front. Notice that the sprue has the arms labelled a L1 and R1 (and so on) to let you know which arms match together. That is handy.

Building the Figures
I found these miniatures very easy to build. There are no instructions, but the pieces are large and fit together pretty well.
This image came out dark because of the paper towel, but you can see the bodies are very straight forward. There are no options with the bodies though. The same stance goes with the same Armour (torso) type across the board.
For those wondering, these miniatures are extremely easy to build, and I am very happy with the results.
The box doesn’t come with bases, so you have to supply your own to match whichever game system you play. Now, let me show you how the figures looked once I completed them.
The Built Miniatures
Below is a show case of the completed miniatures.
A group of Fantasy Ogres with Halberds. Followed by some close-up shots.
Below is a shot of the back of the figures.
I then built some of the models with Handguns.
Here they are with Handguns. Below are the close-up shots.
Moving on, I also built up some Sci-Fi versions of these Landsknecht Ogres.
These miniatures above I built in an Ogryn like manner with Ripper type guns. They might work as proxies in 40K, but I am using them in One Page Rules’ Grimdark Future. Below are the close-ups.
These are some great looking models, especially considering their price point.
Scale Comparison
I always like to give a scale comparison to the models I review. Below are a couple of shots comparing them to Warhammer miniatures for a easy size comparison.
Here is the model beside a 3D printed Les Grognard Ogres by Wargames Atlantic and a Primaris Space Marine from Warhammer 40K.
If Fantasy is more your cup of Tea, here the Ogres are beside and old style Stormcast Eternal.
Wrapping it up…
Today I wanted to quickly review some great Landsknecht miniatures by Wargames Atlantic. Hopefully this post helps you make up your mind on whether these miniatures are right for your collection.
Personally, I enjoyed building the miniatures. The Fantasy version of the miniatures I gave to a friend for his Warhammer Empire like army that he uses for various rulesets. The three Sci-Fi miniatures made their way into my Proxy Imperial Guard Army (made up almost entirely of Wargames Atlantic Miniatures and 3D printed models).
As a note, you can also make these Ogres with Giant Swords, but I chose to go with these variants instead.
Until next time, Happy Gaming Everyone!!!
