Black Sun Preview – Adaro / Deep Ones

Update: August 8, 2019… The Black Sun Campaign did not reach funding, but these miniatures are available on the Crucible Crush Store. These miniatures will be available at a discount until August 19th as pre-orders. After that, the minis will then go back on sale likely in November (after the pre-orders shipped).

A while ago, Crucible Crush, the people behind the Cthulhu 1968: Black Sun Kickstarter, sent me sample miniatures. They sent three different sets of miniatures to me. One set of American Soldiers, one of the Vietcong, and one of a group that they call the Adaro. To me, the Adaro are actually Cthulhu related Deep Ones and the minis look great.

Check out these nicely painted minis!!! Image from Crucible Crush’s Kickstarter Page.

All painted up the minis look really nice. Being that you can get these figures right now from their current campaign, I figured I would take some close up shots of what the minis look like unpainted.

This post will give you a closer look at the minis above to help you determine if they are figures that interest you.

The Adaro

Below is the description from Crucible Crush for this faction in Black Sun.

The Adaro are native to Black Sun, or at least have been in the  dimension for as long as their clan can remember. They have recently  captured or negotiated for weapons from earth and have upgraded their  weapons to fight the new threat of the factions called humans.

Now, let’s take a closer look at those miniatures.

The Unpainted Miniatures

The miniatures in Black Sun are all 28mm. I took these pictures without using inks or anything to enhance the details. The sculptor of these miniatures does a great job on giving deep levels of detail to make the miniatures easier to paint.

A nice looking mini. Here I focused in on the face to show all the details that are there to pick out.
Adaro - Deep One
A “Fishman” with an assault rifle. I’d be freaking out if this guy was hunting me. 🙂

I like the look of these minis. What are your thoughts? Please share in the comments section below.

To close the pictures off, we circle back to the first miniature. Very cool. What do you think of the poses?

Wrapping it up…

Hopefully you enjoyed this post. Its’ purpose is to show off some cool miniatures that you can get through a current Kickstarter.

I would like to thank Crucible Crush for sending these miniatures for me to review. If you like what you see, be sure to check out their Cthulhu 1968: Black Sun Kickstarter.

Until next time, Happy Gaming Everyone!!!
