Have you looked at Wargames Atlantic Sci-Fi Miniatures?

If you are looking for options for 28mm Sci-Fi miniatures, Wargames Atlantic might have you covered. Be it for Imperial Guards (I think they are called Astra Militarum now) or for miniatures for your Sci-Fi miniatures Agnostic Games, Wargames Atlantic has options.

In this post, we quickly look at some of those miniatures sets that are available today.

As a note, Wargames Atlantic is a fast growing company, so even more options will eventually emerge. Some maybe even sooner than later.

Four Different 28mm Sci-Fi factions Currently Available

Right now, Wargames Atlantic makes four different factions that you can use as 28mm Sci-Fi miniatures. They also make a box of spiders that you can build as cyber or sci-fi spiders. That said, I am going to focus on the miniatures in their Death Fields and their Iron-Core miniatures.

Again, they are a growing company, so their offerings will only increase as time goes on.

Now, let’s look at the box art for each of the kits currently available.

Wargames Atlantic Raujager
As a historical wargame fan, I detect a touch of a Fallshirmjager appearance to these figures. These are the Raumjager miniatures.
Wargames Atlantic Einherjar
Here we have Space Dwarfs stylized with a mythical Norse feel. They are called the Einherjar. Fans of Warhammer 40K might call them Squats from back in the day. Regardless, they would work as Guardsmen too.
Wargames Atlantic Death Fields Les Grognards
These ones would make great Imperial Guards. They are the Les Grognards by Wargames Atlantic. They have an obvious French soldier feel to them.
Wargames Atlantic Heavy Weapons Teams to proxy as imperial Guard
The Grognards already have heavy support options too. You get six weapons teams in there. Nice!
Iron-Core Eisenkern Stormtroopers
Switching over to Iron-Core, you get the Eisenkern Stormtroopers. I am not sure if you might rather proxy them as Space Marines or as Imperial Guards. Either way, they have a cool style and have been changed from the original miniatures by DreamForge.

Value Priced

All of these box sets come in at $34.95. That is an awesome price for 20 to 24 miniatures. The Heavy Weapons teams are the same price too. For 6 Weapons Teams, they are beating the daylights out of another big company in terms of value and the number of minis you get for your dollar.

Although these miniatures are value priced, they are really good quality too! Take a look at these.

How Do I Get These Miniatures?

There are a number of ways that you can get a hold of Wargames Atlantic Miniatures. You can head to their website and buy from them directly, check your favourite retailer, or head to Amazon and check their prices there.

If you want your favourite store to carry Wargames Atlantic products, send them to the Contact Us page on Wargames Atlantic. To make it easier, here is that link.

Wrapping it up…

Thank you for checking out the Sci-Fi Miniatures by Wargames Atlantic with me. These miniatures combine historic elements and bring them into the sci-fi world. If you are playing Warhammer 40K with your friends and are looking for Proxy figures, these miniatures could be worth a look.

If you are playing in tournaments (or Warhammer Stores), stick to the official Astra Militarum miniatures. When you play somewhere that it doesn’t matter if you use proxy figures, these miniatures clock in at less than half the price of the official miniatures. That is pretty good.

And, if you are like me and just like miniatures agnostic and random miniatures games, these figures make a very affordable option that comes with a good degree of quality.

For more on Wargames Atlantic, I have an entire section on this website that you can check out. Head on over here if you want to read more of my posts about the company.

I also have a post about their newest miniatures that you can use as Imperial Guard Proxies for that extremely popular Sci-Fi game that we all know about.

Until next time, Happy Gaming Everyone!!!

Oddly enough, I was just looking at them! I like the steampunk look of the Grognards especially.

They seem to have a wide variety of ranges, but only a set or two in each range – I’d like to see them expand the ranges.

Have you built any of the fantasy figures? Some of them have sci-fi options as well.

I’ve built the skeletons and enjoyed them. They are yet to be painted.

I 100% agree that I would also like to see them build out their current lines further.

      Thanks for the comment!
