Ontario Has A Gaming Convention! After a very long wait, the first miniatures convention that I know of is opening up to guests.
The world wide pandemic forced the closure of many events here in Canada. It is unfortunate, but it is all in the effort to slow down the spread of COVID-19. It is encouraging to see that we might be able to start returning to these events.
As you may know, Must Contain Minis hosts the Ontario Miniature Gaming Conventions webpage. This Page just saw its first update in a very long time, but recently I had a good reason to give it an update. The folks at the Kent-Essex Gaming Society are running a gaming convention next Saturday – September 25, 2021.
This gaming convention is in Chatham, Ontario, Canada. If you are interested, be sure to check out their Event Facebook page for details of the location and time. You can also see the newest updates at the Kent-Essex Gaming Society Facebook Page. You will want to check that page out as there are some vaccination requirements there – I believe set out by the province.
Wrapping it up…
Overall, it is encouraging to see some event organizers stepping up to run conventions again despite the COVID-19 risks. There are some COVID restrictions, so make sure to check their Facebook pages for all of the events before heading to the event.
Since KEGS is running their convention again, I took the time to update the Ontario Miniature Gaming Conventions webpage. Be sure to check that out too. Perhaps you can find some dates that you want to set aside, or find some events that you want to keep your eye on.
Until next time, Happy Gaming Everyone!!!
