Happy New Year!!! It has been a a very busy, and somewhat stressful, year. Unfortunately, I have not got out to game since 2020 due to the pandemic. Despite this, I have still been able to share with you my continued journey as I collect and check out different miniatures and rule sets. I thank each and every one of you for coming to check out this site on a continued basis. I really appreciate it.
In this quick post, I take a look at the quantity of posts that I generated in 2021 and talk a little bit about my future plans too.
Now, let’s start off with how many posts I wrote in 2021.
So Much Content!!!
Often it amazes me how much content I can put out as just one person. In addition to publishing content to multiple web platforms, I also work a full-time career job that I love. Below is a tally of the content that I published in 2021. It is a lot.
- On Must Contain Minis, I published 142 articles this year.
- Over on YouTube, I uploaded 43 videos.
- On Bell of Lost Souls, I published 42 articles.
In total, that is 227 pieces of content, but that was not all that I created. I also started working a little bit with OnTableTop and appeared on The Canadian Wargamer Podcast Episode Six. That’s not everything yet either.
I also started a second website called Tech Presenters. I aimed this site at both Content Creators and those who create and work with Presentations. On Tech Presenters, I give easy tips for media, technology and presentations. If you haven’t checked it out yet, please give it a look.
On Tech Presenters, I published 15 articles in 2021 as well as “About” and “Contact” pages. Right now, most of those articles are tutorials and tips on how to use PowerPoint and Audacity. It will expand to include more, but ever website needs to start somewhere!
Not counting OnTableTop or The Canadian Wargamer Podcast, that brings my tally up to 242 posts created in 2021. Wow!!!
So, where do I go from here?
Plans for 2022
In 2022, I plan to continue focusing on new content for Must Contain Minis (both written and video), Bell of Lost Souls and Tech Presenters. I already have the footage and pictures for a few paint tutorials and some showcases that I want to publish.
For most of December, I took a bit of a break on Must Contain Minis. I will pick up the posts again, but I think the frequency of posts will have to drop a bit. That said, I am going to be trying to publish deeper posts including how to paint figures and the “paint recipes” that I used for the figures that I painted. That all takes time.
The flip side to that though is that I should get more minis painted rather than just built. Everyone has different preferences in the hobby. My favorite part is the build. It will be nice to get more miniatures carried through to completion for a change.
I also want to get more reviews out at the same time. I’ve been seeing some really great products from many companies that I would like to talk more about.
One request that I get often is for me to start a Podcast. On that, maybe. I am not against the idea, I am just really busy already and would have to figure out how to balance things better.
For games, I still plan to cover Osprey plus a number of others. I am keen on Conquest, Wild West Exodus, Dystopian Wars, Blood & Plunder and a new game coming called “02 Hundred Hours: Night Raids in Word War II.” I am also very excited to see what other new products and games might be coming in 2022.
Wrapping it up…
I would like to extend a very Happy New Year to each of you who come here and read this. Hopefully 2022 will bring to us an end to the pandemic and a loosening of the rules so we can get out there and play the games that we love again. I know a bunch of you are still playing, and that is great.
I am also hoping to get more painting done and many more quality posts for you.
Thanks for visiting and reading my posts.
Until next time, Happy Gaming Everyone!!!
