In this post, I quickly review some 28mm Sci-Fi minis that could easily proxy as Ratlings from Warhammer 40K. Meet the Death Fields Sneakfeet Miniatures by Wargames Atlantic.
This great boxed set by Wargames Atlantic comes with 24 multi-piece hard-plastic miniatures with enough weapons that each model can be armed with either a sniper rifle or an SMG. There is even enough weapons in there that you can arm some of them with both!!!

The Box
If you are looking for these guys on the Wargames Atlantic Online Store or a local hobby shop, here is the box you will be after. Again, this is a part of their Death Fields 28mm Sci-Fi line of miniatures.
And here is the back of the box.
The Sneakfeet Sprues
Inside this boxed set, you find enough of these sprues to make 24 models (6 sprues).
As you can see, lots of guns and options here. They make for some nice and quick to build miniatures.
My First 15 Snipers (Maxing Out My Proxy Ratlings)
When these models are made up, they look pretty good. Wargames Atlantic does not pack bases with these figures, so I used some 25mm MDF bases that I happen to have.
The miniatures above are all armed with a sniper rifle. There is a choice of heads, but I gave them all peak hats and the leaders received a peak hat with a coms set over top.
Some Closeups of the Halfling Snipers
Below are close-up shots of some of the individual snipers.
The Last 9 Miniatures
This box set comes with 24 miniatures. Having made 15 snipers, I am left with 9 more miniatures. I had fun with four of them and turned five of them into SMG troopers. Check these guys out!
Here are a few closeups of these miniatures.
These SMG Halflings drop the typical weaponry of a Warhammer 40K Ratling and instead carry an SMG. One cool observation is that the SMGs look like shoulder cannons on these little guys. So cool!
Scale Comparison
If you are wondering how big these miniatures are, here they are alongside a Cannon Fodder miniature (also by Wargames Atlantic).
There is certainly a size difference between the models.
Wrapping it up…
Overall, these Sneakfeet miniatures by Wargames Atlantic are some really cool miniatures.
If you are looking for some extremely affordable miniatures to run as Proxy Ratlings for Warhammer 40K, or just some cool Sci-Fi Halflings for another game, then these miniatures might be perfect for you!
Price wise, they are extremely affordable compared to their competitors. You get 24 miniatures in a box for less than other companies might charge for 5 to 10 figures.
If you want to bulk up and buy a huge army of these figures, Wargames Atlantic offers bulk by deals direct from their online store. Just find the miniature that you want and click it to find their prices. Right now, they offer discounts if you buy 3, 5 or 10 boxes of the same set at a time.
Until next time, Happy Gaming Everyone!!!
Above is a picture of these miniatures alongside the Cannon Fodder figures that I painted in my last post.
As a note, if you use one of the links from this article to Wargames Atlantic, MCM may receive a small commission from them should you purchase a model from them.
