Working With Bell of Lost Souls

Those of you who follow my Social Media Accounts may know that I have big news to announce today. That news is that I now write for Bell of Lost Souls as well as Must Contain Minis.

For those that do not know of the Bell of Lost Souls, they are one of the biggest GW Rumors websites out there. Lately, the team at Bell of Lost Souls diversified their offerings and now write about many more topics. I joined their ranks to discuss games by Osprey, but I will also cover Historical Games.

A Weekly Article

The plan is that every Sunday I will publish an article for them. The articles on Bell of Lost Souls are a bit shorter than the ones that I write on this site, so the stories will be briefer over there. That said, my goal is to promote alternative games to a crowd that might not otherwise know about (or consider) these other excellent titles. If they like what they see, or want to read more in-depth stories, they can come on over and visit Must Contain Minis.

My first article on the Bell of Lost Souls is called Why Play Osprey Games or Historicals? and it went up this morning!!!

I wrote two more articles for them already in their cue and have plans for many more.

My Past with the Bell of Lost Souls

This is not the first time that I have worked in partnership with the Bell of Lost Souls (although it is the first time I ever wrote for them).

When Must Contain Minis was 4-months old, the Bell of Lost Souls helped give us a boost to our readership by including us in their BoLS Alliance Game Network. Everyday I got a number of extra visitors to Must Contain Minis from BoLS and I believe that helped my site grow in readership. The fact that people followed those links also indicates to me that there should be some demand on their site for the content that I plan to provide.

Before BoLS included me in their Blog Roll, I was a long time fan of their site. Yes… I follow GW. I have for years even though I am perfectly happy playing the games of other companies.

Wrapping it up…

I am excited about writing for a new audience, and I am hoping that my articles on BoLS will help grow this website too and also increase awareness of other Wargame systems out there.

Until I went to my first Miniatures Gaming Convention, I had no idea that there were other games out there besides Warhammer and Warmachine. Hopefully I can help other people make that same realization too.  🙂

Until next time, Happy Gaming Everyone!!!

Congrats again. Good to see you’ve got quite a few comments on the article as well.

Speaking of, you should consider Disqus comments here. If you’d prefer to keep it native, can’t blame you, check out Jetpack. Jetpack is a plugin suite by Automattic (creators of WordPress), that has a ton of features, and amongst them is a better commenting upgrade.

Thanks. I will have to check those two options out when I have some more time. Hopefully it would cut down on the spam I get. 🙂

I’m glad to see somebody taking up that mantle over at BoLS. Its a sorely neglected corner of our world.

Thanks BDub. Hopefully you enjoy the content I put up over there (and over here for that matter). 🙂
